The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business within the Liverpool/Manchester region.
This is a field-based, consultative sales position focused on building long-term relationships rather than high-pressure selling.
You will be tasked with identifying and engaging with key decision-makers, including business owners, chefs, and procurement managers in a wide range of food service establishments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target prospective clients, including restaurants, pubs, hotels, schools, and commercial caterers that use deep-fat fryers.
- Conduct cold calls and follow up on marketing-generated leads to secure appointments.
- Deliver engaging, educational presentations using an iPad with associated videos to demonstrate the value of our solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster trust and long-term partnerships.
- Manage your own diary and workload efficiently to maximize productivity and effectiveness.
- Work to and exceed sales targets, with full support from management and a commitment to your professional development.
Person Specification: Business Development Manager, Food Service
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential: A proven track record in a business development or sales role OR experience as a chef working in commercial kitchens and a desire to break into field sales.
- Desirable: Experience selling into the HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering) or wider hospitality industries. We will also consider ambitious individuals with a background in commercial kitchens looking to transition into a field sales role.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Up to £50,000 Basic/Guaranteed Commission
- On-Target Earnings (OTE):
- Year 1: £70,000
- Year 2+: £100,000+
- Exceptional uncapped earning potential for high performers, with the possibility of achieving £200,000+ in your second year and beyond.
