National Account Manager/Channel Controller - FMCG / Food Service
£65,000 Basic + Bonus + Generous Car Allowance of £7800 + Excellent Benefits

A leading FMCG organisation is seeking a National Account manager to take full ownership of a key commercial channel. This is a high impact, strategic role, responsible for delivering profitable growth, shaping long-term channel strategy, and building strong national account partnerships.
You'll take ownership of national performance end-to-end, leading strategy, driving execution, and developing a high performing team to deliver against ambitious commercial targets.
Responsibilities
* Own and deliver the channel strategy, ensuring strong execution across all touchpoints
* Develop, manage, and grow key national account relationships
* Lead commercial negotiations and manage contract agreements
* Deliver against revenue, profit, and performance targets
* Monitor channel performance, providing clear insight, forecasting, and corrective actions
* Collaborate cross functionally with commercial, marketing, and NPD teams
* Drive category growth through range reviews, gap analysis, and market insight
* Lead, coach, and develop a high performing team
* Represent the business at key industry events and trade shows
Experience
* Strong track record managing national accounts at head office level
* Proven experience within a commercial FMCG environment
* Proven ability to sell strategic concepts and solutions, not just products
* Experience developing and delivering channel or customer growth strategies
* Previous leadership or line management experience
* Must have previous filed sales experience
