Sales Manager, Telecoms Hardware.
£40k basis, £55k OTE with a career plan to develop into the Sales Director
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is for a self-motivated and experienced Sales Manager with a proven track record of success in B2B tech sales/telecoms and a passion for leadership and team building.
You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, developing and implementing a strategic sales plan, managing a growing sales team, and building strong, lasting customer relationships. This is an opportunity to shape the company's future and progress to Sales Director within five years.
What is Needed?
* Minimum of 2 years experience in IT or tech hardware sales, ideally telecommunications equipment, with a proven track record of exceeding targets.
* Some experience in managing or mentoring sales team members.
* Strong understanding of the sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
* Proactive, adaptable, and quick to learn new things.
* Excellent negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership:
* Build and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and coaching them to succeed.
* Recruit, onboard, and train new team members. Set individual and team targets and monitor performance.
* Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to develop team members' skills.
Sales Strategy:
* Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to expand the company's customer base and strengthen its market presence.
* Identify and capitalize on emerging markets and new revenue opportunities.
* Conduct competitor analysis and stay ahead of market trends.
Sales Execution:
* Actively generate new leads and drive the sales process from start to finish.
* Effectively communicate the value of the company's products and services to potential customers.
* Build strong relationships with customers and ensure their satisfaction.
* Manage upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximize existing customer spend.
Reporting and Analysis:
* Prepare and present sales reports, revenue forecasts, and expense reports to the Managing Director.
* Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Manage onboarding and integration projects for clients.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of the company's sales processes.
* Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in the B2B tech and telecoms industry.
