Senior Business Development Manager, Automation, Engineering
Up to £75,000 Basic Salary, £200,000 OTE
A manufacturer and turnkey warehouse automation solutions provider requires a proven business developer to increase their sales of multimillion turnkey solutions across the UK. The company is part of a major engineering group with a history stretching back seventy years.
The ideal candidate will be from the Industrial Automation sector and will be an excellent relationship builder who is practical and 'hands-on' in approach. In addition, you will be technically inquisitive, the kind of person that genuinely wants to understand a client's processes to best serve them.

* Base salary of £75,000
* Unlimited OTE. OTE of £200,000 plus in the second year is totally realistic. We are looking for people who are inspired to earn £300K+ per year.

The Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years of experience in sales in the industrial automation or warehouse automation industry. Alternatively, your experience could be in racking, shelving, RPA, materials handling, conveyors, or related industries.
* Someone used to working autonomously and motivated to deliver the business and earn very high levels of commission. The commission is uncapped, and several hundred thousands of OTE is realistic. The role requires someone who is highly motivated by earning potential.
* Will have contacts within major manufacturers or major logistics firms, including 3PL providers.
* Proven track record of success in selling complex and high-value multimillion-pound solutions.
* Strong understanding of the industrial market
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Self-motivated and results-oriented
The Role
This fast-paced and highly varied role requires an individual with a substantial depth of knowledge of various industries and manufacturing processes.
Clients include major manufacturers in food and drink, pharmaceutical, engineering, aerospace, defence, chemical, automotive, high-performance automotive and industrial.
This can be a technically complex, project-driven role but is equally a highly commercial role requiring a keen ability to negotiate huge contracts involving multiple stakeholders.
You will also be part of the Senior Leadership Team and have a strong involvement in company direction.
