National Account Manager, Tier 1 Supermarkets, £65,000 - £75,000 Basic Salary + Commission based bonus + Car Allowance. Hybrid working. Birmingham.
As far as success stories go, this non corporate Tier 1 retail confectionery provider started off on the corner of a small market stall, and have now flourished into a 30 million pound turnover major success story that feature on the shelves of all instantly recognisable supermarkets across the UK.
With a focus on "own label" ranges that are sold into major supermarkets, this non corporate family owned business are able to bring new products to market quickly and are known nationally for superior quality.
In this role as National Account Manager, you will be inheriting control and full ownership of all major supermarket and Tier 1 Grocery retailers where the focus will be on extending the product range within your account base.
This is working for a business where everyone knows who you are, and due to their impressive reputation, it is easy to expand product lines within accounts and build strong relationships. They have done all the hard work for you!
You will class yourself as self motivated, commercially aware and hands on in your approach to building client relationships.
The ideal candidate will come from a National Account Manager background within FMCG with a specific background within food and have experience of working with own label products.
To apply, it does NOT matter what product you have sold into supermarkets, but you MUST have experience of building relationships with Tier 1 grocery accounts and experience selling into instantly recognisable supermarkets. For example, you could have sold crisps, sweets, lollipop, sugar products, or other ranges. Ideally you will have experience of working with complex product ranges, and 'own label' products.
This is a true 'land and expand' role and is selling at senior level, but most importantly you will be a highly visible sales person in the business with the ability to shape strategy and direction.
