Homebased Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager, HVAC, North of England, £45,000 Basic plus Bonuses + Company Car + Excellent benefits package.

This is a fantastic solution-oriented technical sales role within a booming company specialising in bespoke HVAC solutions for large infrastructure projects. Example projects could be dust extraction in road tunnels, cooling of manufacturing plants or ventilation for pharmaceutical process plants. You will be covering the North and the East of the UK managing key accounts and converting new business leads into successful new clients.

Due to continued growth, this is a varied role as you will be involved in projects from specification to completion and is ideal for a proven technical sales professional. The position is managing an existing portfolio of major accounts, including civil engineering contractors, M&E Contractors, M&E Consultants, and end-users.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Developing existing relationships.
* Arranging and attending face-to-face visits with new clients as well as existing clients.
* Managing quotations.
* Following up on leads, undertaking needs analysis and closing new client opportunities.
* Carrying out on site surveys.
* Involvement in designing the product to suit the client's exact needs.

Ideally, the candidate would have skills, qualifications, and experience in these areas

* Must have a proactive approach to sales.
* High attention to detail.
* Have a consultative sales approach.
* Have previous experience selling within the engineering or manufacturing industries and sold high valued solutions or bespoke technical equipment.
* Have Solution Sales experience.
* Absolutely ideal experience will have been gained in HVAC, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, emergency lighting, switchgear, controls, refrigeration, access control, electronic security products or similar.

Many projects are working with Consultants. As such, you must be a 'Chameleon' - the kind of person who can wear different hats and build rapport with a wide range of levels and personalities.

As a person, you will have terrific communication skills and be highly customer-focused. You will be a highly motivated and results-oriented sales professional with a winning attitude; the kind of person that is not prepared to settle for second place.
