Writing for Examiner.com, reporter Susan Ayers stated that body language can tell a would-be employer that a hopeful is either a professional or an inexperienced worker.
She added: "Do your best to stay relaxed yet maintain an air of professionalism. If you mess up, do your best to apologise or correct it and move on
hopefully right into the next round of interviews or even into the job itself."
Ms Ayers went on to say that interviewees should always politely decline any offer of a drink as spilling water or coffee is a sure-fire way of making a poor impression.
Last week, the Times Colonist reported jobseekers should be positive about their abilities and their chances of finding the right job in the current economic climate.
Writing for the publication, reporter Iris Winston stated that when asked about strengths, interviewees should focus on innate aspects of their character and mention skills that can be learned when talking about weaknesses.
