Vodafone marketing director Peter Boucher has outlined the numerous benefits to be reaped by employees who are able to be more flexible when it comes to their commercial operations.
Writing in a column for the Guardian, he was quick to highlight that 'working from home' meant far from what the expression suggested.
"It's about working from wherever you need to be - whether that's from a cafe with a client, a customer's headquarters or during your commute," he explained, going on to say the ability to capitalise on such 'dead time' could be absolutely paramount for smaller businesses.
For those in roles that often see them mobilised around the country and in considerable contact with clients - such as people in sales jobs - the ability to work flexibly in this way could not only improve customer service and interaction, but also enhance the performance of staff working in a more efficient and productive professional environment.
