Strategic Head of Sales, Hertfordshire, circa £80,000 Basic Salary, £100,000 OTE + full executive benefits package. A board-level role for a Strategic Head of Sales to join the senior leadership team of a well-established manufacturer of products into trade and retail. This long-term career opportunity requires a proven strategic sales leader that can bring fresh ideas, a new 'strategic lens' and the ability to transform a one-hundred-year-old brand for significant growth in the 21st Century.
This person must come from a manufacturing / product background.
The role is twofold:
* Firstly, leading a team of five sales and commercially led managers, the role is managing managers rather than the sales teams directly.
* You will create, deliver and execute the sales strategy for the next decade, including defining and refining the service and product proposition to clients.
What you will do
Reporting to the CEO, you will be at the apex of the commercial function of a multi-million T/O business that is recognised as the premium manufacturer in their field. They are top-end quality and top-end-price and looking to maintain this status while setting up new brands to compete in new market differentiation segments.
While an overused term these days, we are looking for a transformational leader that can take an already successful business to the next level.
What is required
* A proven strategic commercial leader that has a measurable and proven successful track record of significant growth.
* You will probably be a graduate with at least five years people-management experience that has validated their knowledge and expertise with something like an MBA or other Masters level business or marketing qualifications.
* Your CV will demonstrate someone passionate about continuous learning and leveraging new technologies to deliver annual sustainable business growth.
* You are expected to have immediate gravitas and be quickly able to make an impact upon the business.
Also, we are looking for proven operators, not 'job-hoppers. Therefore, your CV should demonstrate logical career growth and tangible statistics on how you have taken organisations to their next level. Please note that we are also looking for employees rather than individuals running their own consultancy businesses.
What are the rewards?
* Circa £80K Basic salary and an uncapped bonus scheme based upon profitability, sales income growth and agreed personal metrics.
