Head of Finance / Finance Director, IT Services, £80,000 Basic plus bonus and executive benefits package. Incredibly successful IT services firm that has enjoyed over 15% growth in 2020 is looking to recruit a dynamic Finance Director due to both expansion and aspirations for 2021 and beyond. The role is managing a team of five, and you are expected to grow the team in parallel with business growth.
As part of the four senior leadership team, the role is a combination of accounting and financial strategy. The current T/O is circa £25M p.a. The forecast for 2021 is 14 to 18% growth.
Responsibilities:
* Day to day responsibilities include: Management of team, general accounting functions such as billing and collection, systems management, input into contracts, compliance and management systems and internal control procedures.
* Monthly responsibilities include P&L management, payroll, KPI management, cashflow management, forecasting, Tax and VAT returns, statutory accounting, treasury activities, auditing and management reporting.
* Strategic responsibilities include complete financial control including continuous process improvement, data analysis, budget planning and forecasting, submission of statutory accounting and financial leadership.
What is needed?
* A qualified accountant with a proven financial track record within a dynamic and growing SME. Your experience will probably be as a Director of Finance, Head of Finance, Finance Manager in a consultancy or service business.
* Ideally an MBA or similar level fully-rounded business qualification
* Ideally have started in a large accountancy firm, before moving into senior finance roles in SMBs
* Brilliant interpersonal skills and the ability to spot opportunities and prioritise and delegate responsibilities
* A hands-on and pragmatic financial leader that has excellent financial acumen and robust process and operations knowledge.
* A strong people manager that manages individuals as individuals and mentors and motivates to create an effective and efficient working environment.
* Knowledge of UK financial regulations and legislation. Knowledge of legislation in the US and EU would also be hugely beneficial.
* An expert knowledge of a recognised financial system such as Sage or Xero. Knowledge of Salesforce CRM would also be a benefit.
* As the leader of the finance team, it goes without saying that the role requires a high degree of working autonomously and taking the initiative and necessary actions.
The role is home-based until the COVID era is over but will then be office based from Buckingham. To apply, you must be within a one-hour radius of Buckingham.
