Sales Manager, Packaging into Consumer Goods,--Kings Lynn

Sales and Commercial Manager, Packaging into Consumer Goods and Retail, £40,000 + bonuses + benefits, including equity potential in the medium to long-term, North Norfolk. Established for over one hundred years this is a brilliant sales and commercial leadership role with a manufacturer of bespoke packaging products sold into the retail, online retail and consumer goods sectors.

As a result of a recent takeover, we are recruiting a Sales Manager to lead the sales team of six. You will have responsibilities for commercial strategy including sales process, pricing strategy, product development and product placement. No specific industry experience is required as full training will be provided, but you must be a brilliant sales leader with a B2B field sales background. The role is national from the North Norfolk HQ and needs a brilliant, forward-thinking Sales Manager that is a 'do'er' with a modern approach.

What's needed:

* Proven sales track record and at least two years sales team leadership experience

* Solid commercial understanding and the ability to grow into the role of Sales Director in the next few years

* Experience from within a SME business (not all corporate)

* An excellent understanding of sales processes and forming a successful sales structure and culture.

* A persuasive and likeable team player that can quickly gain the respect of long-serving team members

* A positive demeanour - someone that is ambitious, approachable, cheerful, charismatic and dependable.

* A 'can do' attitude and willingness to get involved in areas that may not necessarily be in your 'job description'.

* A data-driven approach to identifying opportunities.

* A 'challenger approach' to securing new business and the ability to sell bespoke solutions.

* A loyal and logical career with natural progression and a CV that details achievements.

* The ideal candidate will come from the packaging industry or have sold into consumer goods manufacturers.

Personal positivity, lateral thinking and an ethical long-term approach are all traits that the successful candidate will need to demonstrate. In return, the company offer a refreshingly human management style, long term investment in the right person and the opportunity for progression into sales directorship.
