Production Administrator and Project Manager, Leighton Buzzard,Bedfordshire

Production Administrator and Project Manager, Leighton Buzzard, up to £24,000. This is a very busy and varied Administrator and Project Management role for an International engineering business. The company supply manufacturers, both large and small, with equipment and associated consumables. We are seeking an extremely organised and efficient multitasker will work with both the Sales Team and manufacturing staff to ensure that customers receive outstanding service and opportunities are maximised.

What you'll need to succeed:

* You will need a minimum of 1 year of project management, production control, production planning or administration experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* You will have the ability to learn new products and in-house computer systems. Excellent attention to detail is necessary for the input of purchase orders and requesting of materials.
* The role requires someone that is highly systems and process-oriented and enjoys working with data to ensure maximum efficiency and provide management with the necessary information to make decisions on business growth.
* You will be positive by nature and keen to turn your hand to whatever task arises.
* To succeed you will be a rare individual that is an efficient, organised professional that loves to work a variety of projects at any one time yet also has the strength of personality to deal with a variety of staff in sometimes challenging situations.
* You will work with tact and diplomacy to ensure that the operation runs as smoothly (and enthusiastically!) as possible.

The ideal candidate will be:

* Enthusiastic, friendly, organised, pro-active and self-motivated person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Project management and admin orientated with experience of working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Experienced in project planning and manufacturing scheduling.
* Be passionate about CRM or ERP systems and genuinely appreciates the value that they can add;

* You will have an excellent telephone manner and be able to prioritise projects and workload
* You will be flexible, wanting to learn and have excellent spoken and written communication skills.
* You will be highly co-operative with a sense of humour and high levels of integrity. Summed up in one word, we are seeking a 'star'!

This role includes responsibility for:

* Answering customer technical enquiries by telephone and email.
* Working with the sales team to ensure that they can deliver to their client base in the agreed timescales
* Scheduling with the manufacturing operations managers, quality manager and logistics manager to ensure that the projects get completed in the agreed timescales
* Ensure that the sales team receive prompt, friendly and helpful service.
* Sending quotes to customers by email, following up and tracking and monitoring the ongoing pipeline of potential sales
* Greeting visitors and helping show clients around the operation on inspection tours.
* You will actively participate in both close-knit and lively sales and manufacturing offices and be the calming and cheery personality that liaises between the two.

What you'll get in return -

A competitive starting salary of up to £24,000 (dependent upon your relevant experience) plus profit bonus - with bonuses you will earn £27,000. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join and develop with a successful and growing company at an exciting time in their development.
