Senior Marine Sales Engineer

Senior Marine Sales Engineer, £40,000 Basic, £100,000 OTE. This is an International technical sales opportunity within a very specialist maritime products manufacturer looking for an ambitious sales engineer from within the marine industry.

This challenging and exciting role is with an international manufacturer of instrumentation components such as controls and sensors sold into the International Shipping Industry. The firm is recognised as a niche product leader yet is still owned wholly by the founding family and retains their 'family feel'. Consequently, staff are well looked after and receive a generous overall benefits package. The average tenure in the UK sales team is nearly nine years.

This business has grown sharply and steadily for several years; they are ahead of the market in terms of products and delivering new and ever-improving solutions. They are also 'ahead of the curve' in their marketing methods. They are stable and financially very strong, possessing the intent and resources to realise their growth plans.

To apply, you will be an outstanding technical sales professional with experience in the shipping, marine and maritime industries. Ideally, you will have some international sales exposure.

Dealing with UK and overseas clients, you will be highly socially sophisticated and an ambitious individual looking for a significant ten-year plus career opportunity. The on target earnings are at least £100K per annum and we are looking for a salesperson that would be motivated by this level of earnings.

To succeed you must be an amazing business developer with a proven history of nurturing accounts to win new projects and meet the following criteria:

* Experience of winning complex technical solution-based sales in the marine industry.

* Ideally, some international sales exposure.

* Experience of working within a smaller company i.e. where you aren't totally reliant on support departments to get a good job done.

* A dynamic, motivated and planned approach to account development.

* A highly professional with excellent sales habits - hard working, proactive, self-managing, self-motivated, "whatever it takes" attitude, etc!

The role is pan-European from a home base with occasional meetings at the HQ in Hampshire. Please note that the position requires you to be a driver.
