Mobile technology used to boost business

With the exponential rise in the number of people using mobile and tablet devices, many businesses could boost their commercial prospects by harnessing the full potential of these new technologies.

The benefits of mobile devices have been highlighted by news that charitable giving website JustGiving.com has seen a 26 per cent rise in donations so far this year, following a deal with Vodafone which gave rise to the JustTextGiving service almost two years ago. The move has made it possible for people to donate money through the site via SMS.

If JustGiving.com keeps up this momentum, it will see £60 million more donated via its service across 2013 than was given last year, when it facilitated charitable gifts to the value of £242 million, the Independent reported.

Nowadays, the consumer likes convenience and any firm that can bring about a more accessible service for its clients is far more likely to see its business improve.

Therefore, those looking to carry themselves forward and jostle with other leading competitors on their respective markets would do well to invest in these technologies - and, furthermore, personnel who know who to use them.
