Independent CV Verification.  Third party full referencing service - offered at cost price to employer clients

Aaron Wallis vets candidates through its competency interview process and uses due skill and care in locating and introducing Applicants to our employer clients. Whilst we use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that a candidate is suitable for every role that we work (in accordance with the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003) we are only able to take candidates at 'face value'.  Whilst we reference every applicant it is purely to confirm identity, eligibility to work in the UK and their dates of employ. To be confident of the accuracy contained within a candidate's CV we recommend Independent Referencing and CV Verification.  

We provide this service to our clients at cost price which ranges from £35 to £175 + VAT dependent on the thoroughness of the verification (We use two partners as one offers a basic identity and employment history check and the other a full premium check).  The service is available as a 'menu based' option so dependent on your requirements the cost will be between £35 and £175 + VAT.  The most frequently requested check costs just under £80+VAT, a small price to pay for complete peace of mind.

Our partners, both of whom are divisions of major credit checking organisations, will check and verify aspects of the candidate's CV (subject to permission from the candidate).  We recommend arranging the CV verification at the point of arranging the second interview as the service, dependent on the thoroughness, can take up to ten working days.

At the premium level, the Independent CV Verification Service includes:

• Verification of the candidates name and address
• The candidate's date of birth (where possible)
• Memberships of Associations, Professional Institutes, etc, including membership dates and qualifications obtained
• Secondary Education, verifying schools attended, attendance dates, qualifications obtained (post 1985, schools were not required to keep this information prior to this date)
• All Tertiary education including degree verification and verifying the awarding University, subject, type, grade, etc.
• Career History - confirming job titles held, length of service, exact dates of employment, reasons for leaving (if available and kept on record), and job description (if held on file by the previous employer and they are willing to submit this to a third party).
• The service corroborates up to ten years of reverse chronological career history or the candidate's last five jobs (whatever is greater)
• The verification agency will also obtain Personal References and/or testimonials, where available.
• The agency will also obtain the candidate's credit rating and credit history (subject to candidates Full approval), and detail CCJ's & Administration Orders, Company Directorships (current & previous).  They will also perform a Disqualified Director Search
• Dependent on the nature of the role they can also perform a Criminal Records Check with the Criminal Records Bureau (this is not normally relevant to the majority of sales roles and strict laws apply, for further information visit the Criminal Records Bureau - www.crb.gov.uk/)
• Our partners are members of numerous bodies and act as an umbrella body of the CRB. Our partner is registered with and strictly adheres to the data protection act.
